Carlo is an experienced lawyer as a result of being directly mentored by the Philippines’ top litigation and corporate attorneys. He has provided exemplary advice to a wide range of clients – from individuals with family law concerns up to foreign corporations with corporate matters.

He has been involved in advising foreign and local investors on the proper strategies and methods to set up their businesses in the Philippines, and advised Philippine corporations on queries regarding mergers & acquisitions, labor, data privacy, and general corporate policies.

He handled high-profile criminal cases by acting as defense counsel for congressmen and local chief executives accused of violations of offenses such as Plunder, and the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act. He regularly appeared before the Sandiganbayan in cases involving the Priority Development and Assistance Fund, and public procurement, among others.

Carlo is also seasoned in commercial litigation and arbitration. His experience ranges from defending some of the Philippines’ top corporations in litigation concerning Public-Private Partnerships, to acting as counsel for a claimant in an arbitration with a subject matter of more than a hundred million pesos.

Carlo earned his Juris Doctor from the Ateneo de Manila University and was admitted to the Philippine Bar on 2016. He is the Managing Partner of Sanchez & Cunanan, a full-service law office in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines.
